I am on my way to Theta but can't open the door to do the gate puzzle. An icon appears to open it but it does not work. Have tried reloading and also playing from earlier time but neither worked. I guess I will have to quit the game permanently due to this flaw. Are there any updtes to fix this bug?

Very late to reply, wildnatacha, but in case you have put Soma aside and are ready to try again:

That gate doesn't open by just clicking. You need to manipulate the switch - it's been quite a while since I played, but either you hold the activation button and try turning it, or click it and then turn. I think it's hold (grab) and turn. There are more steps, but if that was the problem, this should get you going again.
