Is it just me or does SoFPlus no longer work with the GoG version of SoF as of the latest hotfix patch? (got a crc error with the GoG version of SoFPlus when trying to extract the exe)

And if anyone managed to find a way to force it to work anyways, stating how would be appreciated.

Nah, it's all right, just make a copy of exe and start the copy (SoF — copy.exe).

This doesn't work for me. I've tried both versions of the SoFPlus patch, tried copying the EXE, and all sorts of other random things. Nothing works with the current GOG version.

Someone emailed me about the new SoF version on GoG.

Some files changed, so the SoFplus patch has to be updated again.
I've not worked on SoFplus in years and don't have a development environment at the moment, so I can't tell if/when an updated patch will be created.

I had that problem too but resolved it. Are you using WinRAR to extract? If so, before extracting, check the "Keep Broken Files" option (in the Miscellaneous box).

This worked for me! I was just using the built-in zip extractor in Windows 10 and it wouldn't copy the .exe out. Using winrar with that "keep broken files" option worked for me, and the game now supports high resolution wide screen resolutions.

Out of curiosity - has anyone had an issue with the second .zip file? Every time I try to unpack it I get an error that says it's corrupted. I've tried unzipping it with the Win10 extractor, 7-Zip, and WinRAR - no dice.

Thoughts?

Did you use https://sof1.megalag.org/sofplus/download/release/sofplus-client-patch-20140531-gog-kb4571756.zip for generating sofplus-client-20140531-kb4571756.zip?

I have tested the patch on these installed versions and they all produce correct results:
- setup_soldier_of_fortune_1.07f_(23628).exe
- setup_soldier_of_fortune_1.07f_(23628).exe + patch_soldier_of_fortune_1.07F_(23627)_to_1.07F_hotfix_(54919).exe
- setup_soldier_of_fortune_1.07f_hotfix_(54919).exe
- GOG Galaxy (installed a few days ago)

If you can email me (sof1@megalag.org) the corrupt zip file, I will investigate.
