I've been trying to launch SOF2, though it goes black, opens up the game's console for a few seconds, and then closes. My whole screen turns brighter and slightly blurrier also, and doesn't fix up until I restart my computer.


I need help fixing this.

try renaming your sof2mp.exe into mohaa.exe

I have the same issue, are you using Windows 11 as well? The screen does turn back to normal when I right-click my background and enter Display settings. Renaming the .exe obviously does not work..
Can someone help please?

I tried renaming the exe too. SOF 2 still won't launch on my Windows 11. I am able to play SOF 1 using GOG. Don't know why SOF 2 won't work. When I had Windows 10 I was still able to play SOF 2 using the actual CD from 2002. That no longer plays on Windows 11 either. I am having the same issues That didn't work for me!
