So, whenever I try to change the resolution from 640p to 800p or anything higher in Soldier of Fortune 2, the in game brightness dies down to the lowest possible setting and the gamma slider doesn't work anymore. Only when I play the game NOT in Fullscreen, the brightness is fixed.

Anybody encountered the issue and if you did, anyone knows how to fix this issue, because it is annoying as hell whne I literally cannot see anything in game.

I fixed it by sliding the slider all the way down, then back up. It seemed to reset the values for me so it would actually get bright again.

ALright so I did try to find the config file in the base folder, but for some reason the file is not there. It does say when I start the game that "failed to extract sof2sp.cfg"

EDIT: Okay I am a dumbfuck, it is there. Thank you so much for helping me out, finally can fire up this bad boy

So I did the config fix, booted the game, It worked once. Reset itself, same problem. Checked to see if the config was over written but still set at 0. Also I may have fudged something trying to fix it myself because I have some very blurry yet colorful textures.

"Night settings?" I have no idea what that means, but if you worked out how to fix this problem, please help a guy out. I've been having this problem for ages.

Same problem for me as well. Windows 10. But I remember having played this game a long time ago on Windows XP and there was the same issue.
