I bought the game and DLC for a friend a few weeks ago, but we cannot play together, as GOG Galaxy automatically tries to download an update to revert the game to 0.4.2.1 - even uninstalling and reinstalling does not change this. She tried downloading the game files manually and turning off auto update, and we played for a few hours fine. Now, she tried to update the latest patch from the other day with the one update version file, but again it tries to revert back to the old version. Any suggestions?

the patch from last week...borked the game for many. It's an unmitigated disaster
