I am having the same problem. I was playing last night but after the update, I can't get the game to start when I attempt to launch it from GOG Galaxy.

I'm having EXACTLY the same issue.
Same here, forgot to disable auto update.

Had to revert to previous patch (1.0.15) and it works again.

R-Click Solasta icon and select configure instalation. de-select the auto updates option and a new sub menu should apear letting you select the .ver you want
How cannot they check this issue before releasing their patch ? Maybe it's an independant new studios, but the guys there are not amateurs... they're supposed to be pro.
I'm updating to previous as it should work.
This was a regular occurrence with Cyberpunk as well. If I had to guess this is an issue with GOG. They need to get their acts together. This is completely unacceptable.
Just had the same issue, went to uninstall thinking the worst, now GOG just lists it as a 125mb download?

Small patch big problems...

(N.B Just followed the above posters advice and set to "no auto updates" pick 1.15 and back to a full proper download...)

Doing this myself now. Thanks for the information!
The Update to 1.0.18 came in last night. Today I was searching for the patch notes and found this thread. I feared the worst but the game does work as expected.
