It appears that the game does not have any online features (at least clearly visible ones). However, my F-Secure pops up and says, that sokobond.exe requires internet access to the iP 69.163.202.132. If denied, game slows down and breaks. Should I allow it? Sounds fishy.

Has your issue been addressed? I bought this game, but have not yet installed it, because of the issue you are having.

Nope. I don't know is it the game or maybe some shady malware from somewhere else, which might have infected this game file randomly. F-secure does NOT say that the file is harmful, it just wants internet access.
I am able to play if i keep f-secure popup on while playing, then after playing deny access. In order to play again, I have to go and manually adjust f-secure's program controls to remove "deny internet access"-setting for Sokobond. Not very convenient.

You may want to contact GOG support to see if they can provide some insight on this issue. I have a big game backlog so I will wait to install this game until more is known about the issue.

I did look at several reviews of this game on the Steam website (Steam has 100+ user reviews of this game) and did not see this issue mentioned. However, since you are seeing this issue, I will not install Sokobond at this time.
I just sent same info to the support. I also checked steam reviews and did not find anyone mentioning having same issue. When I googled "sokobond internet access", some link mentioned same ip, but I did not click that, since it was fairly unknown to Web Of Trust and F-Secure's safe search. I'll wait and see if support can help with this.

When you get a response from support, could you post what they tell you in this forum?
I just read my emails, and got a response. The access is to official Sokobond site for checking updates. It should be safe to allow access there. I'll quote some part of the support's response:

I've tried to run this game with few firewalls, it took some time, and it looks like F-Secure is blocking return data without providing any information for the game. This is causing the game to constantly asking firewall same data over and over, without getting an answer and it can result in crash. Usually when game is blocked, by firewall it will receive a return information that it's not allowed to reach certain server, but in case of F-Secure game didn't receive any return data at all.
If there are problems, game should be added to anti-virus/firewall software's exception/trusted list:

Simply disabling firewall or AV software could not be enough, since some of those software's are running still in background or in services list.

Thank you for posting the GOG support response. Since I use a different anti-virus/firewall, I will install the game and see if the game works properly for me.

With the information you received from support, what will you do now?

I am a bit paranoid about any program's internet connection, so I rather keep them at minimum, and I do same with Sokobond (keep F-secure pop-up open until I have finished playing, then deny). However, I have played a couple of times this game with allowed access, since I clicked wrong. I haven't finished the game yet, but I still play it.

Is F-secure able to allow localhost connections while blocking internet connections? If you know what the DNS address sokobond.exe is looking up then you can add it to your hosts file with an address of 127.0.0.1 which would keep the traffic from leaving your machine.
