Why? what is the reason? :(
Baseball Stars 2 is a Good Old Game.

No idea, but I would guess it has something to do with licensing or perhaps SNK will release a modern game in these IPs or they licensed them to some 3rd party.

Anyway both games also received some sort of a small update after that delisting, so I wonder what it was about as there are no patchnotes.
Looks like they both got relisted. I wonder when did that happen?

Unfortunately there was censorship due to political problems in Asia. The games were removed for a short period, just to censor them. They are both back. For some wise reason I backed up Baseball Stars 2 before the censorship :)

To do a hackjob like this to games that are almost 25+ years old, just for the sake of some political statement or censorship is plain ridiculous. Preserving gaming history, my ass!

AoF2 has rollback enabled to the previous version, however BS2 does not. Things like this shouldn't happen here on gog, or at least be up to the user to choose whether they play the hackjob or the original version.
Not just political statements. When China is involved, data collection is a possibility.

Earlier this year, they made it a "crime" for people to speak negatively about their regime in their own countries. Not to do it while in China, but for a citizen to criticize while within their own country.
