I got burned on 3 of the last 4 gog games I bought, so now I am waiting for user input.
I watched a good youtube gameplay video of this, and it looks ok enough to buy.
I am just wondering if there are any issues with the gog version.
Also wondering if there are any issues with re-binding keys to both mouse and numpad+corresponding keys (like numpad 0 and Insert keys can be bound seperately).
Thanks for any info.

I don't own the gog version but runs fine and has no control issues. The game is hard and you can't rush into things so keep that in mind. The enemy is not all seeing so if you are spotted or shot at, then it means you screwed up. It's fun once you get into it, and their is a point system that grades you on how well you do in a level.
The game is a disgrace, dont go near it in a millon years, check the reviews if you want more info (luckly there have been a couple of realistic reviews so far)
in short, broken game, boring, unappalling, feels like work to play....
Please, ignore the above. I don't like to say that but his hate is really extreme. Besides, He never even completed the first level. It's not top of the line but it's not even close to being the worse game ever. The game is very playable and can be beaten without glitches or bugs hindering you. You can use other weapons besides sniper rifles if you chose too but the main feature of the game is sniping. Getting multiple head shots with one bullet or taking out multiple guards without them locating you is fun. Trying to snipe really far away is tricky but it makes you feel like a pro when you do. Try the demo.
What about missions?
What types of missions are there?
Is there a LOT of sneaking? Like, if you get caught, the game is over? Like IGI (2)?
I dont like the sneaking type games.
I dont mind sniping, or having to take out certain people only, or along those lines. But, sneaking sucks booty for me.
TIA
again

Most of the missions don't require you to sneak but their is at least three where you have to sneak for a certain period of time before you can go all out against everyone.
The types of missions vary from sabotage, demolitions, assassination, and protecting people. Sneaking does help a lot though as some enemies are placed in hard to spot area's where you need to observe or you will get sniped. It also helps you avoid getting surrounded or circled from behind as enemies will move around when they are aware of you.
The setting was well executed. I love Berlin.
That is all to say.

Well, I ended up getting the game somewhere else (huge sale), and the game DOES have control issues.
Try rebinding the mouse keys.
I use RMB for forward, and it is just great when you go forward and you get zoomed to scope while you move.
SIGH.
Scope/zoom is bound to mouse, no matter what you set it to, or what you bind mouse buttons to.

I know this post is ancient, but people still read old posts nowadays so I thought I'd give my thoughts here as well. I really like TCS (Tactical Combat Simulation) games and this game is definitely a form of the TCS subgenre of FPS games. I have only played the first few levels of this game but I must say that I have really enjoyed it so far and find it has some nice elements of realism to it, such as accounting for more realistic bullet physics (bullet drop/wind/etc.)

It is not a game for people with short attention spans, or who like to run around randomly, take a few bullets and then pick up a health pack or two and keep on running blindly and killing stuff. It is for die hard seekers of realism who like to patiently wait/crawl around while scanning for enemies and take caution. Some people (such as myself) get a real charge out of that and can get a big adrenaline rush, while others can get bored stiff if they don't have bullets whizzing past their head every 10 seconds.

If you like realistic war simulation type games, then this one is worth checking out. The only real complaint I have about the game so far is that it does not support 2560x1600 native resolution of my monitor, and I have a game about 10 years older than it that *DOES* support 2560x1600 (Blood 2). It still looks great at the highest resolution it does support though which is either 1600x1200 or 1920x1080 (I'd have to check, can't remember), but it'd be nice if game developers would support all current and near term future monitors out there rather than putting artificial limitations on games.

I'd give the game 8/10 stars.
