I know it's stated time & again there is no DMR on the games GOG sells, but I have to be very sure. I own an original DVD copy of the game Sniper Elite: Berlin 1945. I played it a lot on my old WinXP machine. When I tried reinstalling it on my new Win7x64 laptop, it finished the install telling me I had to reboot to complete, showing the logo for some copy protection with 'Star' in the title, I can't remember exactly. When it rebooted, the laptop reset itself to factory defaults, erasing all my installed software & files. I HAD taken a backup, on 4 DVDs, but I found the first DVD was unreadable...
In short, I want to make absolutely, positively certain your GOG copy does not have this security on it. Can you assure me of this?

Rest assured that ever single game on gog is DRM free, once you download it, its yours.
StarForce, the DRM was called. And I have double confirmation, and email from GOG, so I'm happy now.
And, by the way, it runs very well indeed, with no StarForce or any other DRM!
