I'm doing a mission that involves getting through a blockade to enter another star system. First you fight a ship and then warp to another system talk to the governor and return to the previous system with reinforcements where you immediately encounter another enemy. Each time in either the first or second battle the enemy uses cloak and disappears, and nothing happens. No prompts, no messages, no mission complete, nothing. And I'm forced to start all over again from the beginning of the mission as though nothing had happened.

I'm just wondering: am I missing something? Is this by design? Or is this just a weird little bug.

I can't really play again until I know if it's me or the game.




UPDATE: Nevermind, seems to have worked itself out. And now I'm an addict. It's kind of like a more complex Dope Wars, in space.

Well for me it didn't work itself out. I got this problem specifically on the Nuclear waste dumping mission.
And considering I was stupid enough to start out as a eponymous smuggler - thus missing at least 60% of the game content... GAH...
