No matter how hard I press "Apply Changes", it never keeps it...

Just to be clear: in opposite to some guys on the steam forums, I found the "apply graphics changes" button in the middle of the options section. Every time I want to apply the changes, the game seems to "freeze" for a sec, before it pops back to the original settings.

You need to select 'apply changes' and then choose 'keep these settings' on the next menu and press confirm.

I did this, but the screen blacks out and turns back to original settings.

Are you sure you didn't set some setting that is unsupported by your monitor/graphic card?

Yes, I would say so. When I set the settings the way I want, everything seems to work while the counter for "reset the settings after X seconds" goes down. But when I press "keep the changes" the screen blacks out and I am back at original settings.

The gog support member, that's helping me out, assumes my surface scaling of/and my 4k resolution as an obstacle in this matter. Both things I won't change for the first game in my 600+ library, that's got a problem with it.

Hopefully you could adress this problem I also noticed in the steam forums in a future update. Thanks in advace.
I'm having the exact same problem. I go to the Settings to change the resolution, I hit apply and it reverts back to the old resolution. Is there any way to fix this?

Update:
I think I might have figured out the problem. Usually in a game when you change resolution, you hit apply and then when it shows a "test" screen, you click A/Confirm. But in this game after you click apply you have to manually select down to "Keep current settings." The default menu selection does not keep the current settings for some reason.
