Just started playing Bedlam the other day and while I've really been enjoying it, I couldn't help thinking combat would be more interesting with larger party sizes. I happened to look up some let's plays on a whim, and surprise! It seems like a previous build of the game HAD larger party sizes -- up to six. Not only that, but it had a really interesting risk/reward system where you'd get extra resources for every party slot you left empty going into a fight. In short, there was previously a lot more depth to combat choices.

So... does anyone know why the increased party size and that risk/reward system were removed in the current build? Better yet, is there any way to get that version of the game?

What you are refering to is the Arcade mode. The campaign mode has a fixed party size of four, and you always get ressources after battle, where as in Arcade mode you get ressources for higher risk battles (less team members) and for collecting them on the battlefield.
I don't think so. I've played both modes and they both allow a maximum of four party members, and without any benefit for taking less than four.

Maybe it worked differently in a previous version and that's the version you've been playing?
You'r right, apologies. Seems I was also watching old let's plays ^^, since I've only been playing campaign thus far.
