GOG is really annoying in its stupid trend to spoil the installers with its gog.dll and whatever else prevents older games from running on WinXP.
I was compelled to use not-so-licensed version of Steam release of SoaSE Rebellion though I do have it here on GOG. Steam version runs just fine on WinXP, and it's no wonder because it's just that old SoaSE Trinity game with some new features, and Trinity runs flawlessly on WinXP.
GOG stuff, you are dolts. Steam doesn't support WinXP officially too, but at least they don't spoil their distributives with shitty DLLs, idiotic wrappers and so on.
