I remember from playing Sin years ago it was possible to hold your default gun sideways, or hold two akimbo? I also thought there was the option of attaching a suppressor.

Am I imagining things or mixing up my games or does anyone know how to do any of this?

Thanks!
You can carry akimbo magnums in Wages of SiN. You can also carry akimbo magnums in SiN 1 by launching it through the expansion. You lose a few original taunts from Blade in SiN 1 by doing this but I think it is worth the ability to go akimbo.

I'm pretty sure you can't fire the gun 'gangsta' style. Some promotional artwork does feature Blade doing that, at least with one gun. I remember Unreal 1 also had that option.

Thanks! Any idea how to do this? I've tried cycling through the weapons, pressing the 'use weapon' key and double pressing the weapon number key but no luck so far ... (I'm probably overlooking something very obvious here as 'teenage me' apparently didn't have an issue with it :)

Pressing '2' a second time should switch. If you are using keys or mouse wheel for 'next' & 'previous weapon' it will also appear after the single magnum/shotgun. Also pressing your alternate weapon button, the same one you would press if you had a sniper rifle and wanted to zoom the scope, will switch between single and dual magnums. Also, of course, make sure you have actually found and picked up a second magnum. Blade has a habit of starting many levels with only 1 magnum needing to find a second.

Thought I was losing it for a second, but apparently this only works in Wages of Sin? I've been playing the base game so far and can't get it to work there (even tried '/spawn Magnum' to make sure). In Wages it works just as you described though.

*edit: sorry; just noticed the 'by launching it through the expansion' bit in your first reply :S

So thanks for the info, all sorted out now; my memory was playing tricks on me :)

You HAVE to be running SiN 1 from Wages of SiN. If you just start standard SiN you can't have two magnums. They kind of hide the Wages of SiN launcher. You can ONLY find it in:
Windows Start Menu: All Programs: GoG.com: SiN Gold: Wages of SiN

I recommend making a desktop shortcut of the launcher from that menu. Once you start Wages of SiN and start a new game you are given the option of playing original SiN or Wages and you can dual wield in either.
Yep, got it; many thanks!
I too seem to remember flipping the gun over gangsta style in the demo. I'm probably confusing this early teenage memory with Kingpin or Unreal if it really is not possible to do it in SiN.

The plot thickens ... might've indeed been the demo; I'll try to dig it up somewhere. Maybe it was removed from the Retail version or patched out later on..? If it is from another game entirely (which is very much possible) it has to be one with a similarly blocky grey/red handgun- I have a vivid memory of it.

The Unreal 1 Automag pistol had a secondary fire mode for "Gangsta-style" shooting. Gun held sideways, fire rate increased, but accuracy decreased.
