Often times I've been noticing that whenever I try to pick up armor from dead enemies (jackets or pants mostly) Blade won't let me pick them up and says one of his random lines like "Already got it" or "Nope, don't need it" when my armor is less than 100, and only sometimes will he let me pick it up if my armor goes lower.

It makes me wonder if this is some sort of bug, and if there's a way to fix it?

Yeah, I believe it doesn't ADD armor points to your armor, it models what condition each individual piece of armor is in. So the ones you can't pick up have lower condition than those you're already wearing.

That's why, if you e.g. shoot an enemy in the head to kill them, their helmet is probably going to break in the process and so you can't swap it for yours. Brilliant system.

In that case, how exactly can I tell when I can pick up a piece of armour? I guess that also means I should avoid shooting the area of the body I want to grab something for as well
Yeah, it works in exactly that intuitive way. You don't know if you can or can't pick them up unless you just try.

Hmm, I see, thank you for taking the time to answer my questions!
