jamesh1333: Hi, I've just recently bought SimCity 2000 and everytime i try to launch the game it stays in windowed mode, does anyone know how to make the game fit my screen or at least enlarge it.
I use windows 8 with 1769x992 resolution...
GOG only offers the DOS version of the game and not the one for Windows 95. Only the latter is capable of real widescreen support, while the DOS version can only be stretched to fit or displayed with black columns on both sides.
To get the best out of your resolution, edit the game's DOSBox config file.
Open dosboxSC2000.conf in the game's folder with any text editor.
Set the following lines:
fullscreen=true
output=ddraw
fullresolution=1769x992
You can also set another scaler if you don't like the original edgy look by setting the scaler variable.
Default is:
scaler=normal2x
