As some of you may know the Unlimited release of SC3K is missing some music tracks (most notably "Sim Boradway") while others are mono instead of stereo to save disc space. Getting the misssing files can be quite a pain, sometimes requiring you to mess with files on a an original SC3K disc. Luckily I own both versions of the game on disc and have uploaded my sound directory so that you too can listen to all the music this game has to offer. Just navitagte to you directory for unlimited and go in to Apps/Res and drag the sound folder I've uploaded to overwrite yours. You may want to back up your sounds if you like or you can just reinstall if something goes wrong. This should add the missing songs and the stereo versions of songs currently in mono as well as replace the audio config file so the game recognizes them. You are free to reupload these files so taht people can keep doing this in case my MEGA link goes down.

There was another forum post on this topic but I've noticed most of the posts are edited or deleted so I thought I'd create a new post so that people can still get the full SC3K experience.

Thank you! I owned the game on disk, but it is long gone. I will try this next weekend and have myself a nice long city building vacation :)

First, thank you very much for this :)
But could you upload the files in one .zip ? (or .rar, or .7z) Because on mediafire, we can download only file by file when you aren't premium and so, it's a lot less convenient :/

Thanks for the stereo music, things like this the digital version should already include.

Also, while most the original music was made mono for SC3000U, one of the songs wasnt for some reason. I guess they only converted the songs they really needed to.

Yeah. My guess is just that they needed to hit a disk space requirement. Personally I would have preferred that they have no FMV intro at all if they could keep all the music on the disc, but I wasn't at Maxis so its not like I could have done anything about it.

Just wanted to chime into this old topic and say thank you so much!!! I first heard "Sim Broadway" when I played the original SC3K on my dad's Gateway desktop in 2000 so it's just blasphemous that 3KU didn't include it, and it's strange that this wasn't addressed for the digital rerelease. Now back to my miserable little town!
