It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I noticed that one of the top reviews mentions SC4 modding, and figured I'd ask if somebody wanted to write up a detailed explanation on how to get the mods working, recommend some, provide links, etc. (Maybe it's not necessary, I personally don't know.)
A very large selection of mods can be found on the German "SimCityKurier" *
Maybe Google translate or similar could help non-German players.

Another English site should be "SC4Devotion Lot Exchange" *
But it seems you must be registered there to even view what they have got, so I can't tell for sure.

Also, an absolute must have is the NAM, the "Network Addon Mod". *
I think, any serious SC4 mod database will link it too.

* Sorry, no links for now, ask you favorite search engine ... after hitting the "post my message" button, it tells me "You cannot post any links at this moment."

I was thinking of writing something, but I'm not really all that knowledgeable and was mostly going to quote/paraphrase this, anyway:

That's mostly gameplay fixes and convenience tweaks. Note that I don't have the GOG version, so can't really say if any of these are included (unlikely, knowing GOG practices). To that list, you might wish to add some of these:

As to mods proper, first and foremost I'd say you want the Network Addon Mod (NAM). After that... hard to say, it's really an open field. You might find the following thread useful, but I'm fairly certain I've seen better ones out there:

Hope that's at least somewhat helpful. SimCity moddery is, predictably, very serious business ;)

Yeah, sorry, I think you need at least 5 rep to post links to other sites. (So keep posting! ;)
Definitely check out Simtropolis. They have an extensive mod collection, and loads of tutorials in their forums.
