Has anyone been able to get Silver running properly on a mac through CrossOver or something like that?
Im working on getting the gog version running using wineskins. Im not having luck with the videos at the moment but the game seams to run fine. I will let you know once i get it working.
Ok so I got this running in osx using wineskins minus the videos. there is something about the indeo 3 codec that just doesn't want to work correctly with wine no matter what i install or what winetrick i try. so my solution was to remove the 4 videos files from the games application folder and watch them using vlc player or you could use something like handbrake to make them more mac friendly. removing the 4 video files from the gamedata makes the game simply skip the videos all together. it didn't even throw an error. also the game must be ran using a virtual desktop in override mode. If i get the videos working in the future i will update.

Then, what is the best configuration of wineskin to run it?
I basically ran things with the info from http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=25988 only thing is i had to tell wineskin winery to run in a virtual desktop and i removed the cut scene videos from the game directory to keep it from crashing. you can watch the videos in a player like vlc or reencode them into mp4 for smaller file keeping. thats about it. not sure what else i can say about it.
