I know it's not the gog's team fault since this game has always been troublesome to get running, but i still feel a tad cheated on this release since gog has marketed their releases as basically troublefree on newer hardware. It's not really about the money i paid, but my high hopes that they had fixed the game that made me dissapointed. Just had to get this off my chest, how do the rest of you feel? Also don't get me wrong, i like gog's style in offering old games again...just don't think this should have gone live in this state.

thanks.

Agree, I bought this because I used to love the game back in the game, but as soon as the observatory part and scope came, I felt.... cheated. I know I'm being picky, but I just can't play the game this way, having played the original a long time ago.

I'm wondering what you people are complaining about. Okay, the observatory scene hasn't played but still the whole conversation made sense to me whereas some people seem to complain that it doesn't in this state. Also, are there any other issues I'm not aware of?

Edit: Okay, I've taken another look at the Silver forums. There's quite a few issues although I've gotta say that I haven't run into a single one of them so far. It's incredible how a game can work perfectly for some and suck for others.

Whatever issues you're having here are minor ones. You can play the movies with VLC/MPC anytime, and that's not a drawback. Considering the troubles faced when trying to set up the original version on a new system.

Crashes are another story, but those are being addressed in another topic.

GoG did a great job on making Silver available. And I do not regret any cent spent on this.

QFT. I have been waiting ages for this to happen, and when I saw it I jumped at the chance to get it. Even set up a whole PayPal account for this game.
