game crasher when outside the Winter castle there are these two treasure chests that turn into blue ice monsters and game allways crashes there. what should i do?

Same thing happens to me, I get one of those "Exception: Access violation" messages and then the game crashes.

I have the exact same problem. Has anyone found a fix?

This happened to me too. I run Windows Vista 64 bit, and playing the game in Windows 98/ME compatibility mode solved the issue completely.

This causes the sound to stutter during the title screen, but it doesn't seem to effect the music anywhere else.
