Saw "Editor_EULA.rtf" file, and looked around for an executable editor to toy with (incidentally, does it exist? Don't see it anywhere).

Noticed a "Splash.exe" file in the main directory (subfolder of the original game, not Sentinels).

Ran it out of curiosity... immediately Commodo Defense started throwing warnings about modifications being done to registry.

Not a big deal, since most games use Dx hooks to handle input... but.

Splash.exe modifies, for some reason and among other things, digital certificates. Moreover, it attempts to connect to the internet as well.

Most of the file's information fields (Details tab from Properties in Windows) have "TODO" field entries. Last file modification is dated to 9/26/2003 3:07PM, so it appears to be legit.

Still, why is it writing into Microsoft Digital Certificates registry entries?
