I know that Silent Storm Sentinels have 1920x1080, but not the original game? Is there something I can do in the directory files to update widescreen resolution? (Oh, I'm also running this game with PlayOnLinux/Wine on my Linux Mint 17.1)

Thanks.

Try the solution listed here:

Yeah. I already came across that before posting. There is no solution for wide-screen support. Well... Is there a way to increase the resolution at least?

Yeah, I just tried it myself. Seems with the modified d3d9.dll some of the textures and text gets misplaced in widescreen resolutions. It works for 4:3 though. I tried it with 1440x1080 and it looks fine, but it removes the shadows and I think the anti-aliasing.

(Also, I just realized I played through the original Silent Storm at 1024x768 even though I set the resolution to be 1440x1080 in the options. I thought it was running in the higher resolution the whole time! The anti-aliasing is too nice looking that I didn't realize at all. It doesn't seem to run at any higher resolutions than 1024. Well, with the modified d3d9.dll it does.)
I found a solution!! :) Just use DXWND -latest version, 3D Analyze might do the trick too- and set it to your desired resolution. Then download the Universalreschanger2 program mentioned before, here; http://www.wsgf.org/f/u/contrib/dr/257/hacks/universalreschanger2.zip

Set resolution.ini to your preferred resolution.

And THEN, most important step, instead of the default value 1024 in the config.cfg (within the CFG folder in Silent Storm main folder, use this value!

setvar gfx_resolution = 1280.00 (1280 was because I wanted 1280x720 or 768. The only issue with this for you is that maybe the height can't be changed and it's always set to 768, but my laptop's monitor is 1366x768 native.

In your case set it to:

setvar gfx_resolution = 1920.00

But config.cfg and resolution.ini are set in my case to windowed mode, but I am not sure if it makes a difference when DXWnd is a factor too.

Here is how it looks on my laptop at 1280:

Enjoy.

Hi there,

I have a question. I can't change to the upper level (floor) or lower level (floor) because my mackbook doesn't have - [Num +] and [Num -].

Any solutions for this?

Cheers

Don't know if you already found the solution by yourself but there is a up and down arrow in the bottom bar. By klicking on up or down with your mouse you can change the floor too.
If someone is still in need of High Resolution Patch for SS2, you can find it here - http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=387716971

But I have to admit that It's not as good as it might look. Some text do not fit in UI windows. You can see it on screenshot in this guide.
well universal res changer is nice but it comes with a serious problem. Whenever I alt-tab out of game, the game just terminates whenever I recall its window. Any workarounds on this one?
