EDIT: I do not recommend it anymore.
This is solid, a great addition to the Silent Hill franchise, but you have to be aware of a few things.
1) The combat isn't great, but it's serviceable. Probably the best combat in SH series.
2) Combat is mostly optional until around the last quarter of the game.
3) It's Japanese lore in a Japanese setting in the 1960's. The Steam forums are a cesspool, so if you go researching the game, be aware the zoomers have taken it over and brigaded it pretty heavily. Not a lot of relevant conversation there.
4) The game is not in Pennsylvania, so it's not "traditional" Silent Hill - but the writers of the story have discussed how Silent Hill is a vibe more than a place, and it's been done before like in SH4 the Room.
5) This game requires multiple playthroughs to get the True Ending - be aware the minimum # of plays is 3 to get it.
