Anyone has tried installing it from Heric Games Launcher?

k1ttenface: I'm having the same issue.

I tried installing it on PC, transferring the install folder over and launching as a non-steam game it but it says it's not installed correctly.

It works adding the installer as a non-steam game then launching it after install but I can't open the game again after closing it. when I try and change the target path of the shortcut to the exe or add the exe as a non steam seperately it just launches into a white screen then crashes, I don't even get an error message.

I can say I can launch the game reliably but only by opening the gog launcher and starting the game through that. Not ideal at all, and the controller mapping is a joke l2 and R2 are Not recognized by the control editor, and I can't get them to remap properly.

coreykill: with the gog update I purchased this but for the life of me I cannot get it to play on the steam deck. I DL the offline installer and install the game. it goes fine. at the end of the install I click launch and it works perfectly. but when you close the game and set silent hill 4.exe as the launcher, you either get cannot initilize directX, or the game did not install properly error popups.
I am not reinstalling the game every time I want to launch it.

looking online is topics from 2+ years ago talking about windows registry entries or running the entire game through bottles? anyone have any solutions? the fact the game launches just fine after install tells me it shouldn't need too many hoops to jump through, I just don't know which ones.

anyone have ideas? would be appreciated.

ExecB5: I just bought Silent Hill 4 here on gog and I'm planning to install it on my steam deck later today. I saw on the downloads page that we have the game in two parts and a Patch (1.0.CU to 1.0 AMD RDNA fix).

Does anyone know if this patch is already included on the game if I download it today or if not, if it's actually needed for playing on the steam deck?

EDIT: I tried and it doesn't need the patch. Just download the game and run it with the lastest proton GE. Everything is working.
