Greetings all!

Does anyone happen to have a definite guide on how to apply this patch to the GOG version? The instructions provided at pcgamingwiki don't work for me, my fiddling with the files didn't do any good either and I can't find help online. Maybe someone here would know? Please help!

Sincerely
Andy
Okay, I "solved" it myself.

For anyone interested:

The instructions at PCGW are so ambiguous I thought I have to rename the file included with the patch, when in reality you have to rename the Gog's d3d8.dll wrapper to d3d8R.dll. Then simply extract patch files into your game's directory and everything should work, it sure works for me now.

Thank you for posting what you figured out! I had the same confusion when I went to install it, and your posts helped.
Ohay, I thought I would bump this. With the new patch that SH4 got, I tried this mod, but it does not look like it works anymore. When I open my game, I get like 1 FPS, and the sound is crackling like mad. It takes 2 mins just to get through the menus. :P

Does anyone know what's happening?

Hey there,

apparently you're NOT supposed to use the unofficial patch anymore. Pcgamingwiki states so. I believe GOG are doing their best to fix the game by themselves and after the latest update the Steam006 patch is no longer compatible with it.
