When launching Silent Hill 4 in either fullscreen or windowed mode at 1080p, only about a quarter of the screen is rendered. I've tried all different video settings, including enabling and disabling scaling, but nothing works. Screenshot is attached. I am running Windows 10 (Build 19042.508) and my GPU is a Radeon RX 5700 XT with the latest drivers.

Same idk what's up
OK, it looks like you need to set the resolution in the DirectX settings program that comes with the game to "Set by application." You can change the resolution afterwards in the game itself.

lol I was coming back here to say the same thing it worked.
Same GPU as OP, same newest drivers, Ive tried messing with all the DirectX settings and game still will not launch. Get the white boxes and then it just crashes to desktop with no notifications
Solved. You have to install the game onto your default boot drive. not sure why but thats how it is
