How good is this game playlable with keyboard and mouse.... its at least playable?

As someone who played the PC versions of Silent Hill 2, Silent Hill 3 and Silent Hill 4 back in their initial releases with keyboard, I can tell you Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3 were perfectly playable thanks to their tank control options (I was already used to play games with tank controls like the Alone in the Dark and Resident Evil titles on PC), but in the case of Silent Hill 4 it was a big pain in the non-room areas due to being forced to analog controls. The room, on the other hand, played perfectly fine.
Those were other times though. Now I don't play neither of these games with anything different to a gamepad controller.

It's fine, I keep switching between gamepad and k+m between two computers. Default configuration works really well on keyboard and mouse, on gamepad I had to rebind everything to get it to work like it did on PS2.
