I read where it has a problem with 64? Any thoughts?

I wonder too
Well, I've run it on both Intel and AMD 64-bit CPUs with no problems, but both were using Windows 10.
I have been running it for a few hours, on windows 10, 64 bit, no problems.

I read on the Steam Forum of a fix for 64 bit, http://www.nulano.eu/*laa, and when I went to do this fix - it involves using a hex editor to change one digit in the .exe program - I found that the GOG version already had this fix incorporated.
Has anybody tested 4GB Patch? Seems to be a generic 4gb enabler for x86 *.exe files.

I'm currently not allowed to post LINKS, so you have to search manually for ' ntcore(dot)com ' hit downloads and go for 4GB patch.

I just tested it. What a difference! i don't have to turn on vsync anymore through the nvidia menu which in turn delivers some tracks to be not so visible, faster scrolling and i'm even allowed to turn on shadows ( low ) what a delight on my new p.c. ;) i was already contemplating it should be either Railroad Tycoon 2 or Railway Empires but not Sid meyers trains, there is of course still the issue of the low zoom levels but at least the game is much more enjoyable without screen tears etc.

This was exactly what i was looking for!

Silly question, but does this then solve the "3GB Bug"?

I love Railroad Tycoon, but when I purchased this a few years ago on Steam this game kept crashing. First all went well and then, when my Railroad began to grow, it kept crashing. Sometimes on loading the game, sometimes after a few minutes of play.
I play old Retail version with all putch\dlc with no problems on Win7 x64. x64 support - is a part of one of the updates.

... Game actually have a memory usage bug. But it not a huge problem.
