I have this game on Steam and like it a lot but it has been designed for 4:3 aspect ratio and while any resolution can be used by editing the config.ini in my documents, the gui is partly off screen.

Has gog by any chance fixed this?

EDIT:

Check out this fix.

More than likely no. We don't generally add or edit widescreen support or lack thereof. We try to keep the game as it originally came out.

Thanks!

Too bad though... :^(
I hope Firaxis can be bothered to make some fixes like the patch that just came out to fix Nexus: TJI.
Yeah I really wish this had widescreen support.
By the way I just tried the fix from Racer_S, which seems to work so far as I play in 1920x1080 with no gui cutoff.

EDIT:

Hmm, after some more testing it seems not such a good solution as you can't click on hotspots directly and have to search them out on certain screens. :^(

Both .ini edit and racer_s "solution" just makes the game still use 4:3 but stretched to desired resolution and aspect ratio. Not worth it - better to play at native 4:3. Or, if you prefer stretched, do it via your video card settings (same results, but menu remains clickable).

AFAIK there is no working solution for this game, that would result in real widescreen implementation, instead of stretched.
