Every time I launch Pirates! the screen goes to black, with the spinning ships wheel, and goes no further. I have attempted launching the game in Windows and via the Galaxy launcher with no difference. Any help?

System specs
Processor: i5 2500K
RAM: 16gb
GFX Card: MSI GTX580
Windows 7 64bit

i have no idea if you ever fixed your game but ill leave this here for anyone else who wants pirates! to work

Go to the miles/win32 directory in the Pirates installation folder and rename mssa3d.m3d to mssa3d.m3d.old

This fixed the infinite spinning wheel on Windows 10 x64. (and possibly other versions of windows)
