I don't really have any experience with Civilization or really any other Sid Meier game besides Pirates! I was expecting an entertaining, but dated, game, I honestly didn't expect to like it as much as I do. It's my first game, so I'm playing on the lowest difficulty just to get used to the game mechanics, but it's really a lot of fun.

Glad you like it, this is one of those timeless classics. I played the shit out of the first Civ, CivIII and CivIV, but Alpha Centauri remains my favorite by far.

Now, lets NAG the crap out of EA, Firaxis and GOG so they release Alien Crossfire here!
