Hi all =)

Although I immensely enjoy this game since it first came out, there is just a sound that bothers me to no end : that message announcing the end of a turn. In the opening of a game, it's reaaaaally annoying !

I browsed the fx folder but couldn't find the right file it seems : I had something called cpu turn complete2.wav and another one cpu turn complete.sfk ; but deleting (after copy of course ^^) them didn't seem to make a difference...

Does anyone have a clue ?
Try reading this thread a lil below yours:
Loud drone sound
Seems he got a similar issue, and some folks offer a possible solution.

It affects another sound file apparently ^^' and lowering the volume of the file itself won't help me if I don't have the correct file to manipulate =)

Eawyne; In my fx folder I have a "cpu turn complete.wav", but no cpu turn complete2.wav. Re-check the folder; maybe the former is there(?)

I've never heard the sound, and never hit "turn complete." I think this is because "pause at end of turn" in the preferences is disabled. So getting rid of that pause should bypass the problem entirely.

The thing is that I deliberately checked that "pause at end of turn" button ;) I don't always do things in any particular order, actions require immediate attention, worms are too close to my base, a new ennemy unit makes me change my research objective... it's just safer that way

I double checked the folder, it's the only file. I even checked on my other computer, where the game is also installed, alongside Alien Crossfire (which insn't the case on my laptop). The soundfile there has the correct name (without 2 at the end) but it doesn't seem to be played at all...

I think I'll just try to uninstall and reinstall properly and see what I can do from there ^^
