Okay I hope this one gets posted, the forums keep deleting my posts after returning 404 errors for some reason

1. Played a game as Gaians, every time I was attacked by native Spore Launchers, game would crash. If I attacked them, game would crash. "terran.exe has stopped working.." Transcend'd victory anyway but had to reload from autosaves multiple times randomly.

2. Checked the version of SMAX ingame, says its 1.0. Went to download official patch 2.0. when I tried to load SMAX after installing the patch, it says "CD not found", so I reverted to the 1.0 version (downloaded as-is from gog)

3. Is it necessary/even possible to install these patches: asdfdsagasasfh
These fixes seem fairly helpful, would be nice if they were included in the gog download or if it is possible to even install them.

4. Will try getting windowed mode to work tomorrow...

For one thing - you're lucky to have been able to post this - as a result of a pre-christmas spam attack, a quick workaround was made for the forum, where users with under 20 rep (i think it was 20) couldnt start new topics or post links.

As to your problem, it seems from other threads on this sub-forum, that it's related to dektop resolution (I could be wrong - havent finished the d/l yet) but I'll get back to you with any problems I may have and see if we can figure it out!
Tried a very basic fix for older games (tends to work with interplay games, but I figured I'd give it a shot): simply right click on desktop and open desktop resolution. Launch game with that window open - no problems thus far (early days yet though).
...AAAAND my first crash - a weird one too - knackered my desktop resolution and now AC runs in a stretched mode to fit widescreen - cant seem to change it either.

ninetyfive: 2. Checked the version of SMAX ingame, says its 1.0.
The GOG version was updated a few days ago; SMAX should now be version 2.0.
