Just tried playing Alien crossfire for the first time.

when i click to open the menu options, it opens, then promptly closes again! Looks like something that would happen if a button on the keyboard or mouse was stuck on, but this is not the case?

Does the same problem occur playing Alpha Centauri?
I can't think of any setting within the game that would cause such an issue. Are you certain that you are not double-clicking on the Menu? You might want to check the double-click settings in Control Panel/Mouse. Finally, do you have (or can you borrow) a different mouse to see if your mouse is the problem?

I was just fishing to see if it was a known issue before going through the motions troubleshooting my system.

AFAIK this is not a known problem with a solution. Probably just uninstalling/reinstalling will fix it.

I started playing the game on a different computer, its working fine.
