Is that DLC meant to be for coop or single player?. Is there single player campaign?. Cant work that out based on the info on the game screen....

There is single player.

For each character, there is a Story Mode, which consists of battles (8 I think), ending in a unique boss battle. There is an intro, cutscene after the third battle, and an ending that is unique for each character.

Your opponents are often randomised, though some I think are fixed: the one after the cutscene (4th), and the penultimate before the boss are with the same opponents.
