Whenever I try to launch the game, it tells me there's a fatal error in gc, and that GetThreadContext failed. So far it has worked twice, but with no apparent rhyme or reason why it worked then and not the rest of the time.

Anyone know what this is and how I could fix it?

I don't even know what Kapersky is, and when I try to open settings.dat, it says I don't have an App that can open it (I'm using Windows 8.) Is there something I can do to open it, or should we be looking for a different solution altogether?

Also, what anti-virus program are you using? This sounds like it's a problem with that.

When launching game, screen switches on and off to black for about 30 seconds to a minute. Then comes to the load screen which is really small. I can't up the resolution so that I can see the full option window. Any help would be appreciated.

Hmm, for some reason, McAfee is flagging this game as unsafe. I don't use McAfee, so I'm not sure, but, do you know how to "Whitelist" a program with McAfee? If so, please try that.
