So I just downloaded this today and it doesn't see to see my gamepad. I don't get it, the previous Shantae game worked with that same gamepad.

I'm having the same problem. Tried PS4, PS3 and XBox 360 controllers, and none of them work. Am I missing something here?

I got a Logitech controller for game like this. The shantea game play fine on it.

Actually, I got my PS4 controller since I posted this. Thanks anyway for the assist. Turns out I didn't have my DS4 program running in the background like I was supposed to.

The game only seems to support controllers that run on Xinput (for some people).

I ended up using Joy2Key and even then, I had to change movement to numpad and still use ESC to cancel.

Check to see if you have Steam open. If you do, close it, boot up the game, and try using controller again.
