Shadowrun Hong Kong won't install.. After I click the installer It tells me it can't find the second file. I have downloaded it twice and the same thing happens.
Same thing happens when I try to install

MAD80: Same thing happens when I try to install
Just tried it myself.
Downloaded both setup_shadowrun_hong_kong_-_extended_edition_3.1.2_(a)_(10017).exe and setup_shadowrun_hong_kong_-_extended_edition_3.1.2_(a)_(10017)-1.bin from my https://www.gog.com/account (Windows).

Installed and ran with no issues.
Some people have issues if you rename the file names, did you happen to do that?
No it just won't install. Not changed any filenames, and I get no errors at all. It just freezes at about 1/4 complete.

Edit : Several tries, it did eventually go. But like I said, it's about a 1:4 chance for it to do so.

Hi,

I recently brought the Shadowrun Trilogy and I'm cannot get Shadowrun Hong Kong Extended Edition linux version to install. Whenever it nears completion, I keep getting a "fatal error" message (see attached screenshot). Does anyone know a real fix for this problem? I'm running Pop OS!

I would advise to ask Gog Support. (It's accessed from the ribbon menu, at the top of the browser window, after Community and before "SaintGeekdom", from the left.)

The symlink (or softlink) is a pointer so that the file can appear in multiple directories whilst being stored in one place. You may not even need the symlink. (Confer) Did you try to run it?

Check out Geeks for background.

It's hard to tell why yours failed since you have a nonstandard Linux distro. (Pop is a Ubuntu flavour but obviously some things have been changed.) There is nothing on the Gaming Wiki about it.

Ive wanted to play this game for yrs now and yet I hesitate every single time I do a round of purchases, simply because so many report it wont install or run on Linux:(
It would be nice if devs took the time to look at this and fix it properly, so we dont have to go for support for it, which I believe still dont even work for many after doing that?

If ur a Linux user and had these issues but managed to make it work recently, pls share!

I bought the game yrs ago on steam and never got it running then and gave up, but I really love the look of them so maybe I will give one a try now its on sale and see if its still like this, else something really needs to give @ devs!
