Will I like this if I loved the Snes game?

I see many people complain about the game being linear, but it's suppose to be a follow up to the Snes game which was linear in design, so I have no issues with that.

I loved the ambiance. story, characters, lore of the Snes game.
I think you should definitely get it if you're a fan of SNES game. Shadowrun Returns is linear, with only a few side runs, but has great atmosphere, ambiance, and a story to (re)acquaint you with the world. While I did enjoy Returns, it is Dragonfall where this game truly shines. Varied runs you can choose to accept or not, or do in any order you wish. Lot's of interesting decisions and twists during all of those runs and opportunities to role play your character. Well written companions and a story with multiple endings, based on your decisions. And not just cosmetic difference either, but real and actual consequences.

I'd say, get it. You'll never explore locations like in Pillars of Eternity, but the game isn't linear. You're not on rails and there is lot of optional content to see and do. And what could be more Shadowrun than the game made by the man who created this great setting?
It probably depends on how you feel about the combat system. Doesn't the SNES game have real-time combat?

http://www.nexusmods.com/shadowrunreturns/mods/165/? will probably interest you, though it's currently an incomplete alpha build (and up-to-date versions require Dragonfall).

Depends.

The gameplay is completely, totally different.
The world is the same Shadowrun setting.

The vid in the game page gives a good indication of what's there, pretty spoiler free even.
As a huge fan of the SNES Shadowrun, I wouldn't recommend any of these games. The 16-bit charm is obviously lost, as they never aimed for these Shadowrun games to be remakes of the SNES version, and you'll definitely hate the gameplay, as it is turn-based and not real time, like the SNES version. If you're looking for a true successor to the brilliant SNES Shadowrun, I'd recommend DataJack instead, it's a free indie cyberpunk sci-fi game made as a sort of an homage to Shadowrun SNES.
The thing to realize is that both the SNES game and these are based on a table top rpg. They are very different, in large part because these games more closely follow the actual RPG (ie in the rpg mixing cybertech and magic doesn't work so well).
