Dragonfall was great, to a certain point. Once Near the beginning, there's a point where you have to go through a bunch of different logs, each of them being exceptionally long. I got bored just clicking through them without even reading them. I might try it again, slogging through that part and actually reading.

So besides just being ranty, I do have a question. Are there other spots like that? Is that pretty much the one time it happens? I don't know if I could take that continually.
If you talk about the DVD. Yes there are. I think it happens 4 times in total. But you dont need to read them if you arent interested since they just explain past events.

Yeah well if it's relevant to this story, I feel like I'd need to read it if it provides context for future events. It's not that I don't read story, or that the writing was bad. But this was just a gigantic infodump, which is something I don't understand.

I know what you mean but I think in later chunks of info you will get some corrupted logs so IIRC only the first 2 batches of reading are long. Take your time with them and try to read them all before you collect all the money.

Personally I found these to be interesting, providing useful background for the plot.

I take it you won't be getting Hong Kong then? Now THAT game has crap-loads of reading - probably the only game ever where I thought they went too far. Still a great game though (despite the matrix also being crap in that game).

But to answer the question, as stated above that's probably the largest info-dump type thing in the game (from memory anyway, been a while since I played this one).

You could maybe read them one at the time. Like, do a run, read one disk etc. You don't need to read them all at once? I liked them, but then again I was so hooked to Shadowrun world, so I liked to read everything I got my hands on.

Anyway, its not just info dump. Don't wanna spoil anything, these disks affect certain choice later.

If it's possible to read them later, I can handle that. I thought you had to read them all on the spot. If they are accessible later, that's cool.

I might just sigh and suck it up. I need to learn how to read, is what I really need to do. If I try to read books, for instance, I find myself looking at the ceiling because I started phasing out.

From memory they're available for a fair while - reading one disc between missions should ensure you read them all. At a certain point they're no longer available, but that's also the point you're warned to "finish up all your business before proceeding" (or something like that).

Good to know, thanks.
