I got Shadowrun Returns and Dragonfall a few weeks back, Shadowrun installed and works perfectly but when I try to install Dragonfall, it will work right up until the very end of the install where it will pop up with an error message and close. I have installed the updates ect but it still wont work.

Anyone had the same problem or know how to fix it?

The same thing is happening to me. There is something screwing up right at the last stage of the installation; I can actually launch the program and start a game (!), but when I go to apply the patch it tells me that Dragonfall isn't installed. It doesn't show up in Programs and Features either.

I have the same issue as well. Running windows 7. Anybody have any ideas on how to solve the problem?

I'm running Windows 7 (Pro 64-bit) and Shadowrun Dragonfall Director's Cut installed no problem, and I've been playing it almost daily since without issue.

I dl'd it on Nov 21; and just checked and it appears the same version + same patch are still in the library.

So all I can offer is - I don't install to "program files". My games all go to H:\g or (more recently) I:\g (my new SSD).

If you've installed to "program files", perhaps try a different path (like C:\g\Shadowrun) (where "g" stands for "games").

This may or may not be related to the above comments, but it definitely qualifies as 'Dragonfall won't install'. This is in Windows 7 64-bit and does not deal with the Dragonfall Standalone.

I downloaded and installed setup_shadowrun_returns_2.2.0.10 and patch_shadowrun_returns_2.2.1.11 (Windows Installer, English 2.2.0 and Patch 1.2.7 in the library). And everything was fine until I realized I had never installed Dragonfall. So I went to install it and it said Shadowrun Returns version not compatible. I did eventually get it installed, but I had to:

Uninstall Shadowrun Returns
Install Shadowrun Returns
Install Dragonfall
Apply Patch 1.2.7

Well, with any luck this will help someone else out.
