I'm loving this game already and I just strated playing today.
I pre-ordered it, the deluxe edition to be accurate, and I like the gold stuff and all, but I'd like to play with the regular skins too. I do not see options for that though. Neither in game options or inventory. Now I read that the razor katana was available in a Wang Cave, would it be the same thing for skins ?

Bump. After completing the game, Lil Wang is still nowhere to be seen. I'll play through the game again, I love it, but is there a fix to apply or something ? Apparently some people both have the Goldshaft and Lil Wang in their inventory ...

You can try removing the special edition DLC.
To do this, go to the game in Galaxy, then click on MORE -> Settings. There you must uncheck the Deluxe Edition under "DLCs installed".

Doesn't help, at least it didn't on release. You can't seem to get both the gold and the regular katana on the same savegame, sadly. Little Wang isn't available as a drop or from the shops, and disabling the DLC and starting a NEW game means that this particular save won't get the golden SMG and Katana.

Looks like an oversight on the dev's side, you can at least buy the "normal" SMG with the collector's edition weapons enabled, so it's just the basic katana that's missing.

If they patched something in that regard, it doesn't show up in the patchlogs.

I think you are right: I brought the special edition upgrade and can't get the golden weapons. Hoping both variants can coexist in a future patch.

They have to be able to coexist, we kinda paid for them. But their stuff is quality from what I can tell, I'm sure they'll fix it soon. Not a priority I'm guessing, compared to balancing the gameplay with the gems business.
