It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

The game loads fine. The cutscenes are fine. The menus are fine. When I actually get to the first in-game screen it's all black except for the crosshair and instructions with the WASD keys...

Upon googling I could only find posts that seemed to relate to catalyst driver issues and looking through the forum here I don't even see this issue being mentioned... :(

I have a Dell XPS M1710 with a t7600 2.33GHz Dual Core CPU and nVidia 7950GTX GPU. I'm still running Windows XP. Thanks for any help. :)
If I were in your situation I would:

Check for game updates and install them.
Then download and install video driver updates.
Then install .net and visual C++ libraries from Microsoft.

Thanks for the advice but I've done all that and sadly it makes no difference. :(
You stated that you have a computer running Windows XP with a 2.33GHz Dual Core CPU and an NVIDIA 7950GTX.

The minimum system requirements on the product page state:

A computer running Windows XP with a 2.4 GHz Dual Core Processor or higher, 2GB RAM, and an NVIDIA 8800 GT or better.

Your PC doesn't meet the minimum system requirements for the processor or video card.

It likely won't work, but as a last ditch effort I would go into the video options and lower / disable all the settings.

Those requirements and suggestions are for Shadow Warrior (2013).

If you're trying to get the old original shadow warrior (dos game) to work, I suggest using a source port such as JonoF's Shadow Warrior Port (JFSW).
