Hi,

Does anyone know if the new DLC will also be released on GOG? Having Shadow Tactics and Desperados III here, I would definitely prefer that.

Thanks!
I asked on their Discord about that 3 times already, no response. The announcement mentions 'PC only', but later only Steam is highlighted.

And it will not be a DLC, it will be a standalone expansion, as it uses modified game engine.
Okay, so most likely it will be Steam exclusive :-( Seems the userbase on GOG is too small for them. At least makes sense why they aren't active on the GOG game forums.

AFAIK it will be free for current ST owners. It would be strange not to release it here as well after all...

My guess is it will come here eventually, but with a delay, after the game is stable and patched. It takes time to prepare separate builds for GOG, thus it slows down development process.

I will keep on asking on Discord.

EDIT: I got some answers and posted them here :)

Judging by recent Steam posts, it's not gonna be free for ST BoTS owners.
So good, no need to rush to buy it. Will wait for Aiko status on GOG.

It will come here on day one, we will see in 2,5 weeks :-)

December 6th, the release day for the DLC.

I love Mimimi games, best devs!
On Steam, Aikos Choice is Win and Linux. On GoG, its Win only. Is there an update coming for Linux on GoG? Is it Linux on Steam via Proton? I'd rather puchase on GoG, but do Linux game probably 50/50, so both would be ideal.
Thanks,

Hey, there are no plans for a Linux release on GOG. Get the Linux version on Steam if you can. :)

So there is no DRM-free version of the Linux build at all? I don’t really care about GOG, it could be Humble, itch or anything as long as it is without DRM or any other kind of vendor lock-in scheme like a mandatory client.

As long as the Linux build stays a Steam exclusive, I’m going to pass on this DLC as I passed on Desperados III. That’s a shame because Mimimi Ganes work on Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun is wonderful and I have no doubt their other games are great too. But asking us to submit to DRM schemes is too high a price for any game, even for great ones.

And… Who are you? A developer? A publisher's representative? You do not have any special forum badge or gold color.

So, where is this info you have just delivered come from?

And just in case you are in the developer's staff: No I will not use Steam. So, After "Desperados III" and now this the trend is quite clear. I've been withholding my purchase of original "Blades of Shogun" because Mimimi let the GOG version for Linux basically rot for nearly two years. Now my purchase is out of the table. At least as long as even one of the games is Steam-exclusive.
