Before I buy the game (on GoG.com, of course), I'd like to be sure that the version available here will be the same or close to the version most players get and play on Steam Past comments on the game listing on GoG state that a patch with important fixes was not available here, though that was some time ago and so it's possible the version with the fixes is available on GoG.com now.
Is this true? Does the version here include what it's criticized as not having in 2024, January 4th in another customer's quote

Overall, the game is great but don't buy from GoG. The beta patches that contains critical fixes are only compatible with Steam or Matrix Games version."
I'd only get the game from GoG.com, but I'd be really hesitant in purchasing one that doesn't include what are generally considered 'critical fixes' by the playerbase. It's on sale now, so I'd appreciate any info as soon as possible.
