Hey everyone. I played a lot of games from the Apogee days, but somehow I've never heard of Secret Agent before. Does anybody know how it compares to the original Commander Keen trilogy? It looks very similar and seems to share some of its art (definitely the Teddy Bear) and gameplay, like the style of the overworld.
Secret Agent is a lot like Crystal Caves although I think it might be a little easier then Crystal Caves.

It's a bit like Commander Keen 1,2,3 but I personally found that keen 1,2,3 was not quite as nice to control as secret agent in that keen needed a little time to get used to
At least Commander Keen 1 is similar to Secret Agent/Crystal Caves, Commander Keen 4 (my favourite) adds more "physics", excellent music, gameplay & storyline.

I always thought that Secret Agent was more similar to the Duke Nukem games than Commander Keen. But then again, I only played the later Commander Keen games.

But yes, it's obviously very similar to Crystal Caves. Too bad that one isn't on GOG :(

I think you might be right that Duke Nukem 1 at least feels a lot like Secret Agent well at least initially before you start collecting all sorts of items that allow you to jump higher and grab onto stuff. So I guess its similar initially in how it feels but its quite different also everything is so much being in Duke Nukem.

Mmm I would like Crystal Caves and the rest of the Apogee games on here too...
What a kick in the butt! This reminds me so much of the early Duke Nukem games, also reminds me how amazed I was by the Apogee games, great stuff at a time when there wasn't much out there for the PC. I always wondered why this stuff didn't end up being booted to the C-64. I would love to see the early Duke games on GOG along with anything else Apogee. I've got to give GOG big kudos, I never thought I'd see this stuff again.
