When I try to run Scratches (when I bought it the first time, it worked normally), it seems like the game's gonna start, but then I get the message that "SCream engine stopped working" and it goes back to the desktop. Anyone know how to solve this? I tried reinstalling Scratches, but that didn't help.

I have the same issue - did you ever solve it?

Sorry about the late reply. I didn't get any notification.
I haven't tried running it in a very long time. I did just now but instead of the 'Scream engine' thing, it just said something about opendll and reinstalling the game. I'm gonna try that now and see if it helped.

Welp, the reinstall didn't help at all.

Crap-baskets. Welp, guess it's time to try badgering the support monkeys!

I just rebuilt my PC with an 8-core chip and Sabretooth motherboard and this is the first emu game it's had problems running. I'll do a reinstall of Windows, updates and the game and see if a .net update makes any difference. :(

Okay, I did a full reinstall and a full update of Microsofts .net framework. I also rolled back my graphics drivers. This got it working but slow as anything. So I reupdated my graphics drivers and my drivers for my motherboard (Sabretooth 990fx) and it's working? Haven't hit any glitches or problems yet but the main issue seems to be iffy drivers and .net framework - one bit of mine seems to have been slightly corrupted (nothing I needed) but it was enough to be a nuisance.

Problem is Microsoft file downloads can be so patchy and fragmented it can be hard to be certain what was wrong :(

Could maybe try those?
