The game is crashing when I try and enter the house after discovering that the car won't start around noon on Day 1. Any suggestions?

I've tried it twice now with the game crashing at the same spot.

I am running the game on Windows 7 64 bit with a Radeon HD 6770M video card and DirectX version 11.
